Zanzigap is a not for profit gap year company with 20 years experience offering something completely different. Here at Zanzigap we believe in a lot of things; education for all, trying new things, adventures, doing something different, helping others and of course enjoying the simple things in life.
We're offering you a gap year experience of a lifetime; teaching in villages on the culturally rich, coralline island of Zanzibar.
This is not a glorified holiday, we are offering the real deal. Volunteering in African villages, teaching at the local schools and living with the locals, as a local. While seeing and visiting Monkeys and other wildlife, swimming with wild Dolphins, snorkelling on the Coral Reef, viewing breathtaking sunsets and glorious beaches are no doubt part of the experience, there is much, much more on offer here.

You will be based in Zanzibar from 3 months to 1 year depending on your needs and we pride ourselves on being personal and flexible. We believe dedicating time to others and integrating into a new culture benefits the volunteer as much as the community they are placed in. Which is why you are in the right place!
All you need is an open mind, a desire to face challenges, creativity and a passion for people. It really is that simple.
